Yes you can create and host UmlCanvas diagrams anonymously here. So why should you consider to sign up for an account ?
Basically because anonymous diagrams have a few limitations:
a random name: you cannot choose a name for your diagram. So it will always look like 4AkpmzJPdH.
24 hour lifetime: 24 hours after its creation, anonymous diagrams are deleted from our servers. This basically means that you cannot include them in your webpages (for a long time). They are really meant to be used for short-lived collaboration.
they are anonymous: nobody will know that you made that great diagram and nobody will be able to reuse and include it in their HTML pages (for a long time).
A named account doesn't have these limitations and adds a few other advantages:
single-sign-on: when you are logged on you can access the entire UmlCanvas Inspector of any UmlCanvas on the web. In the near future you will even be able to propose changes to the original author, which he will be able to simply accept or reject.
communication: with a named account you can interact with other users. You can leave comments on their diagrams or notify them of new your diagrams.
